Any bitcoin miners that work in the background?

Hey guys, i was wondering if there are any miners that start mining in the background when a pc starts up.

Oh, and can i assign multiple pc's to a worker (using slush's pool) or must i make a new worker for every pc?

It will be used for 'researching' the capabilities of my school's computers.

I usually never have mine startup with the computer. Cant remember what miner i used but i think most of them have the option to.

You can use the same worker for multiple computers. Its best to use a separate worker per machine so you can easily track how much work the machine is doing and if theres problems with shares not getting done. You can also see how profitable the machine is.

Bitcoin mining with gpu's is nearly dead now. ASCII miners are whats being used now. There are also some sites out there that allow you to buy gh and their miners will mine for you. Its cheeper than buying your own ASCII miner and it doesnt require you to use your computer since you access it all through the internet. cex io is a good one to do.

Sorry for the long reply and going off-topic lol.

You could try moving to FTL instead of BTC the low difficulty makes it more GPU friendly. Currently getting around 600KH/s with my 7970. Gonna try and set up another rig later and put my old 5770 in to mine for me as well and i should be getting around 800KH/s
