So, I've had the same LG monitor for over 10 years. The thing still has a good picture even today and surprisingly has never had 1 single issue but it's only a 1680x1050 resolution. I bought a Vizio 4k TV and now... well.. my monitor is showing it's weakness haha. Besides pixel density though the best thing about the picture on my Vizio is the active zoned LED backlight. It has over 60 zones that can be lit at different levels to give the best blacks and whites possible. I'm just curious if there are any 1440 monitors that have this option?
In short, no. Everyone is focusing on freesync right now. That is going to be the best you can get right now as far as helpful techs go as far as I know.
