Antlion Audio ModMic Uni 2 not picking up the first few words when talking

So i recently bought the Antlion Audio ModMic Uni 2 and for some reason it doesn’t pick up the first few words when i talk.

I found out about audio threshhold and all that, didn’t really help me considering that it seems like i can’t do shit about it.

I tried using the MIC on my front Mic Port and the one of my X4 sound card.

I always count to five and it seems nearly always start to pick up audio when i reach the word two.

Whatever captures the signal. See if it has a noise gate active. If it does, adjust it to better suit your recording.
