So, I'm giving up my overheating HP crapbook, and I want to build a PC!
I do not have that much money now, but I do need a stable PC.
Therefore, this build is focused on extensibility later. There's no GPU yet, no optical drive, no SSD. In the end I should get a PC in the 1300$ price class (after adding the rest), so I based it on Logan's 1300$ PC build.
I dont know alot about your US websites, how much are you spending on all these current components? So to work out how much you can spend on your GPU, SSD etc
Maybe give us a budget of individual parts if possible :)
You may want to save money on your GPU and maybe get a smaller SSD just for your OS/few games. As you are coming from a crapbook you may need a few peripherals. This may be a new monitor or maybe a good keyboard/mouse. Either way some money may be good to set aside for this :)
I live in Belgium, but I order my parts from the Netherlands, since that is the cheapest.
I can spend 700 euro, this build would cost me 685 euro.
Don't bother about the GPU, SSD etc, I'll buy those later when I have the money.
Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. I'm not planning to buy the other components now, I'm just going to buy the essential components, however I do want the parts that I buy now to be compatible with the parts I will buy in the future. BTW, for graphics I'll just rely on the Intel onboard graphics, no way it is worse than the GPU of my crapbook.
Logan recently uploaded an inbox.exe which towards the end he discussed a build around the 3570k. Click MAIN then look to the recent to see it. Its a good build and will help you out ;)
Well if its your first build, it may be worth budgeting a bit to get these components. If you cut back a bit and shed a couple hundred euros you can easily afford a nice monitor. This may just be by getting a lower wattage PSU and maybe an older i5 etc. Thats just my opinion though, other people may disagree.
