Analysis of my first build?

CPU: Core i3-3220 (plan to upgrade to i5-2500k in future) -$120

GPU: Nvidia GTX 560 -$100 from a friend

MB: Gigabyte B75 MicroATX 1155 -$77

RAM: Ripjaws (2x4GB) -$44

Storage: WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s -$64

PSU: Corsair Builder Series 500W ATX/EPS 80 Plus -$60

Case: NZXT Tempest 210 -$52

Op. Drive: Samsung SH224BB -$20

Budget: ~$500

Total: $537

With a 500 dollar budget it looks pretty good to me. I like Gigabyte boards and I see this one has a PCIE 3 so wit the 1155 socket you can upgrade this board with a better CPU and GPU later on. It always helps when you can score parts from friends at great prices as it lets you add a little more to your build. Logan recommends the G Skill RAM and I have the 2X8 in my last AMD build and it has a Gigabyte board in it too. Overall it looks good for 500 but don’t forget you will need an OS which will add another 100 to your build cost.
