"An iPhone Loyalist’s First Few Weeks With Android"

This person wrote an article on her experience with Android from an iOS perspective.  I literally just cannot.

"The retina screen, of course. "

Yes, because the 1136x640 326 ppi looks SO much better than a 1920x1080 445 ppi screen.

"There are many apps (especially from startups) that just won’t be on Android for a while"

....really?

"I also like that there’s no “back button” on iOS — that was a confusing element for me on Android"

I'm sorry, what?  It takes you BACK.  How is that confusing?

Article for reference.

I never really understood what people find so confusing about Android phones. Yes many have different a different skin over the OS with a  slightly different UI, but in general, especially for non-power users, they are nearly the same as iOS. I also think that Android is more similar to a desktop environment that many people would be familiar with on a traditional PC, especially Mac users. You have a desktop with shortcuts and a drawer where all the apps actually are. Like it isn't that hard of a concept.

As for the Retina thing you just have to come up with a gimmicky name for something and people will say it is better without really understanding what it is.

I read this on my feedley and when I found out TechCrunch wrote it I unsubscribed. I guess there is no hope for the typical Fapple person.

THIS BROWSER HAS A BACK BUTTON, I DON'T UNDERSTAND ONLY BROWSERS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BACK BUTTONS, WHAT IS THIS MADNESS

oh shit, caps lock was on.... oh well i think it's better this way
