An EPYC Launch!

yeah they still have a lot of upcomming products

Yeah, I think if distributors can get their act together this is going to be really good for AMD.

I wonder if there’s some Intel fuckery afoot.

I think board design and fab is the slow point, to much new shit this year

Am4 1151v2 TR4 2066 so much shit

while thats true, something about all those components placed in such an orderly and aligned order makes the board look like a piece of art

Wow, 2 10GB GBIC onboard!? I wish I could afford this board.

I would assume that the server/ professional space would be the slowest to change. Not from prejudice or unwillingness. But consumers would buy is the new thing is a lot better. But in the prof work area systems have a life time, the new stuff makes the old stuff no worse.
I thin kwe are going to see gradual but continuous growth for epyc and its descendants.

Anyone else see the Serve the Home Epyc single socket review?

Best quote of the review by far: “As we worked through various other configurations, it became clear that while AMD is very competitive at the high-end, its mainstream offerings are competing with de-featured Xeon Silver CPUs and absolutely obliterate what Intel is offering.”
