Amd's 290 Non reference cards

Ive heard the new  AMD R9 290x and the R9 290 are pretty much the exact thing but slightly different, and i also heard the reference cards right now and hot enough to fry eggs on and loud as a jet so does any one know when the non-reference cards are going to come out?

I heard that the embargo by AMD on non-reference designs ends later this month, AMD gun foed up, who the hell wants a reference top-end card, especially with a rubbish cooler.
