AMDGPU-PRO install issues (MANJARO DEEPIN 4.7.2)

To start...

So, gettin pissed here. Can't OC my CPU so I decided to tackle AMDGPU again. Shouldn't be too bad, I would think. However I seem to be in an odd predicament when trying to install the -PRO driver where it wants to remove mhwd and, obviously, it cuts off. Its the package from the AUR as well.

Ideas? I'm stuck.

Do you need the pro driver?

I would use the normal AMDGPU driver if I could. Gimme a sec and I'll get a screenshot for you.

EDIT

Most FPS is at the main menu.

Looking straight up gives me 40. 2 months ago I got 80 and that was fine. Now it tanks. 145-160 in windows but I'm tired of its shit. I still have the 15.12 catalyst driver.

you have the catalyst drivers installed?

Well its that or the Radeon drivers that don't work at all. If I install radeon at all I get a black screen and a reboot.

I mean I don't know what else to say at this point.

Youd need to remove all that crap and install the amdgpu-pro driver. you shouldn't be getting a black screen though with the normal driver.

fyi, you probably cant use amdgpu-pro, it doesnt support GCN 1. You might have support with kernel 4.8 but you probably want to fix that black screen problem first.

the screenshots are catalyst right? so not the same as radeon/amdgpu which have better support as far as i know.

Well I'll give it a shot. But I had to redo when I installed Radeon/ATi and I don't want to do that shit over. I couldn't get to a terminal.

if you get errors booting edit grub (e) at the grub screen and add nomodeset to the linux line

if you need a terminal at the login screen use Ctrl+Alt+F3

Have tried, have done. I'll figure it out on the way I guess. Only other problem when using radeon is one monitor only. Always. Can't fix it.

Welp lets find out.

On a positive note I can drop to terminal this time. However I don't know what to do from here aside from dig around in journalctl and get told I'm fucked.

journalctl -xb -p err

grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log

aaaand process 607 is..... I have no clue what it is its closed. But theres all the info I have. Something breaks and it deletes the screens?

Those are 404 for me

They were cleared 2 days after they were made
Doesn't matter anymore the mobo in that system is dead. I have a laptop and dual irwindale xeon system now. I don't think I'll be concerned on AMDGPU any time soon. Thanks though.

What was happening was the stuff would get recognized but as soon as the system made a call for the DE to render the screens would be deleted. I've fixed that before but I couldn't remember how. Again, doesn't matter now.
