Intel and Nvidia, heh... Nvidia has their Tegra's and their mobile GPU's, they can kinda compete while Intel... They have 50 times more money and they cant give a good punch...
I could laugh all day, I liked the failure of their press conference for Ivy Brigde Intel HD Graphics 4000. They ran the video in VLC media, it was funny... lol

Well considering Intel lead the CPU market, they have no need to improve the IPC of their chips, and instead focused on the IGPU...
It is not exactly like Intel are losing anything by doing this..
AMD only have the lower end of the market, the rest is dominated by Intel because they can get their architecture done properly.
Nvidia also have a lot more of the market due to their Pro graphics (Tesla/Quadro), and better support for applications using GPU Compute.
Woefully it would be a jolly tablet.
