Been updating fairly regularly and have not had any noticeable regressions yet. All been on the up and up so that's nice

Did you not like crimson? I know it is a bit half assed with the "advanced" menus just being the old Catalyst menus. But overall it actually worked well, looked nice and kept bringing improvements in performance all the way back to 7000 series.

For as much shit people give the Fury with only 4gb of Vram, my brother is still on a 7850 1gb and still playing up to stuff like Killing Floor 2. Have not encountered a single game that gave out about it or even crashed because of it. That is just an aside but interesting to me all the same.

Meh, even if they use wccftech as a source sometimes, i'd rather read the Guru3D article, to deny wccftech the ad revenue.

What gave you that idea? I really liked Crimson. Better than nVidia's offerings for sure and I like the way it looks and the functionality.

I said "long awaited" because many were speculating when the next major evolution would release and people were expecting it quite soon. Not because Crimson was bad just because people were excited about what they were doing next since it seems AMD is doing this yearly major update thing now

good old Amd :) at least for gpus

Ah yeah it was then "long awaited" part that got me. I am kind of default to people talking shit about AMD as well now. So I read things coloured, even from fans.

But yeah I am looking forward to this. Would be nice as well next year to go zen too but I don't want first gen.

But but how about a proper linux driver?

They are actually working on it. Maybe 4.11-4.12 time frame for the much awaited DAL/DC update. Freesync etc.
