I just bought a 4K 40" Display, The wasabi mango as recommendation of @wendell 's videos.
My Z800 provides 75W through the PCIe bus and it has an 1100W PSU. The does light up in the BIOS interface. But flickers and occasionally blacks out entirely.
Could it be the lack off PCI gen 3?
Or does my motherboard not supply enough?
Do you not have the PCI-E power cables plugged into the card?
I have both plugged in
It should be backwards compatible is it working in the OS or is it not getting that far?
it boots into live linux ok, seems to work... after I let it boot
I'll install this, see if it works ok now or if power draws makes it flicker
The Z800 with an 1100 watt PSU shouldn't have a problem with that. Mine has never blinked with a 290 or gtx 980ti in it, and 2x 135 watt CPU's.
