Also this is a mock-up of what the R9-300 Series Reference Coolers may appear to look like, which isn't far off to the designs leaks we've seen before, it shares the aesthetics of the R9-295x2.
Side Comment, This is one SEXY ass Reference Cooler.
(Bless our Lord and Savior AMD for finally getting their head out their ass with the reference coolers
Leak season is my second favorite season. Favorite season is when the cards actually come out. I can't wait for more but I know they are going to reveal this at Computex 2015 but AMD can surprise us.
Reference cooler is good looking but I really don't give a crud about reference coolers. As long as it cools the card efficiently and if AMD are actually going to water cool them, that would be great. Otherwise, I am just getting a Sapphire aftermarket reference card, then custom loop them later.
There have been reports of the R9 390X being 300W but honestly, I do not care especially since that card will be targeting for mainly enthusiasts and if the 300W equats to extremely high performance, so be it. The R9 380X will probably be the real show since it is trying to top the GTX 980.
Interesting. I heard the 380X was gonna be the top of the line for a while and that it was gonna have th 300W TDP and come with factory watercooling. That they were saving the 390X.
Well fanboys will say that. Actual enthusiasts do not give a crap unless it provides inefficient performance. That is one of the things I liked about the R9 295x2. It was made with sheer performance in mind.
Exchange rates usually always have wasted cash included in it, with that in mind i decided to reference something else. the gtx 960 is 2000 kr and is 200 usd so 380x = 800 usd? still a bit high I was expecting 600 ish but we will see
Pretty much. They make great products but I really do not like their business ethics. They seem like a company that cares way more about profit than actual innovation.
I really doubt there will be that many cores. It seems unrealistic for a non workstation card. Also the price is way too high for a card of that category. And if you are moving down manufacturing size, I would have thought they would have given it a bit more of a speed increase. It just doesn't add up right.
