Amd pro wx 7100

Looking true old GPU to bay i so a HP AMD PRO WX 7100 for 120£
Gpu is only one slot and acording to multiple pages 10% slower then a AMD RX 580 8Gb.
Installed the card in a Dell T7610 and works no problem initialy, until i got to starting some games on it and found fast it was overhiting.
Given 1-3 min and it would get to 95c and shut down the GPU.
Did some investigation and there are 2 vBIOS for this GPU one called OLD one NEw acording to Toms Hardware.
Using GPU-z got my version backed up. and compared to the DB online and foun what i head was vBIOS 2017 and there was a new vBIOS 2018.

Started some testing GPU gets to 93c after 6-8 min and still crashed :frowning:
So looked in to the fan and by default it will not go higer then 50% so found a software to coontrol it and make a nice Fan curve.
And now with a new Fan Curve max GPU tem was 81c and Fan went up to 3800 rpm or around ~75% Fan speed.

So for any one that has simila problem you cna trye ani of this

Software used to fix the problem:
gpu-z 2.55.0
amdvflash v.5.0.567
Fan Control V172

All of this head to by done because there is not beter whay in the oficial AMD driver

Using the default fan seting it will get to 95c befor it hit 2500 rpm witch is less then 50%

  1. How is airflow in the case?
  2. Maybe time for a repaste? Workstation cards if utilized properly get ridden hard for a couple of years and then replaced.

Alredy did clean and repaste as the first thing.
Airflow ok as the case has 3 big fans in the front; would by nice to by able to controle them as they are controled by bios. All no software for windows dos it proper :frowning:
The FanControll software erros out for any plugins installed so …
