I have a bunch of spare parts lying around and I was wondering if this chip could be overclocked to about 3.8-4.0ghz on the msi 970a-g43. I know that the motherboard has no vrm heatsinks, but The chip isn't particularly hot as it runs at only 80w. I could get vrm heatsinks in the future to promote stability.
I just want to know if I can overclock.
p.s. I am not planning on doing any core unlocking.
