Amd or intel

looking to build a pc but im stuck on what CPU to get...

buget around 6-700 buck

please help... thanks

Can really do AMD on that budget (pretty sure some intel too). What's your purpose of use, to tailor your needs.

Assuming you want to replace a computer you may be on, you'd already have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor? Possibly re-usable optical drive?...

you could get a six core AMD FX 6300 or a dual core Intel i3 3225. I mean, it is possible to build a core i5 system for that price, but you would have to cut so many corners to afford the processor. It is a bit difficult...

Well I been on pcpartpicker.com an doing a couple builds.. I was wondering if there is more sites like that..

Or show me some builds with a amd or an i5... what u guys would build for yourself.

If my budget was $600-700 I'd get myself:

Intel - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GICG

AMD - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GIM0

Most likely not including taxes or shipping which would put you over.  I would already have other stuff to fill in, I got a HDD laying around could throw in there, and a spare optical etc.  Can take out the video card and use on-board and save up for a $200-300 card instead and/or cheaper case. Hang in there for another $200, and really splurge lol.

Drop the SSD on both builds, not needed, especially in a budget conscientious build.

The money saved will get you a 7850/7870

well i took some time to look over ur builds an this is what i got tell me what you guys think...

Intel: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GKe2

AMD: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GK8Q

You'd probably want higher than 430w on the intel it pulls almost that much let alone if you overclock. Also why single channel RAM?? Why do people consider single channel RAM a thing anymore, it's not 2003 anymore ahhhhhh!

As for the AMD one, why not a FX6300 + 7850/7870 it'd be far better than what you have now. So here's a build better than either of the one's you posted. has 1tb harddrive, proper amount of ram at proper speeds, cpu cooler, errrthang. I even left you some room to  maybe get an SSD or a 7870 instead if you threw in a few more bucks.
