i was wondering which of the two i should go forward with. and if you have any suggestions please let me know. keep in mind both systems are at the edge of my budget of £600.
Thanks fot the help!

I'd go with the AMD. You manged to put more quality components with the AMD build. If you insist on going with intel, at your price point an Ivy Bridge I'd say is a better choice.

if you dont plan on expanding and overclocking go with the intel.

if you do, go with the amd, but for the love of god not with the gigabyte UD3. IF you really want the UD3 do not overclock.

thanks, i would like to have the potential for some over clocking, what motherboards out there would you reccomend?

I currently use an ASUS M5A99X EVO 1 for overclocking my FX8120 and its been great to me.

I'd recommend the ASUS M5A99X EVO Rev.2 or M5A99FX PRO if you can afford either of those. If those are a bit too much then i've heard good things from people overclocking on a GA-970A-UD3.

I also heared great things about the UD3.

till I created burnsports on the backside of the motherboard.

+1 for cooperman´s build. it contains good quality parts, and that 7950 for 185 pounds is an amazing deal.

@Ryan_U1: your intel build there are a few things to change, first of all the ram, buy 2 sticks of 4 GB instead of 1x8 stick.  Further you put a i5-4670K unlocked cpu on a B85 mobo, which has no overclock feutures at all, at that point, its  pointless to trow the K chip on it, only if you ever plan to upgrade the mobo to a Z87 chipset, then its okay, but otherwise, you can also trow a 4670 non K on it..
