AMD or Intel Builds?

I can not decide on a build and if anyone has any AMD Suggestions/Builds feel free to post them. Here are the builds i have in mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJtavAB307U&feature=plcp

why didn't you lust put in liks?

anyways, i'm wrestling with the same exact question right now...

I Apologize for my laziness It's late and I don't wanna go grab all of the links. Also, the prices may note be exact.

AMD

CPU: AMD FX 4170 - $129.99

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 - $34.99

MOBO: Asus Sabertooth 990FX -$174.99

RAM: ADATA XPG Gaming Series 8gb (2x4) 1600mhz - $39.99

GPU: EVGA GTX 660ti - $299.99

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - $79.99

PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX600 V2 - $74.99

DVD Drive: Steal one.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 - $49.99

If you want to get a SSD which I would recommend the OCZ you had picked is a good option.

So thats about $900ish before tax, just under. Didn't include a OS or DVD Drive.

Pretty much the same build with a slightly higher price tag.

Intel

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k - $199.99 (You said you want to overclock, this will do so just fine and it will keep it cheaper)

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 - $34.99

MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 - $169.99 or Asus P8Z77-V - $189.99 (little more expencive but very feature packed)

RAM: ADATA XPG Gaming Series 8gb (2x4) 1600mhz - $39.99

GPU: EVGA GTX 660ti - $299.99 or MSI 7870 Twin Frozr - $259.99

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - $79.99

PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX600 V2 - $74.99

DVD Drive: Steal one.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 - $49.99

Like I said pretty much the same build and of course the GPU options apply to the other build as well, personally I would go for the 660ti but the 7870 is a great card if you can find it for 250ish or less.

In all honesty the Intel build WILL give you more performance (no debating that... ever! At least right now.) and most of those prices are MSRP so you will find them cheaper. I would be surprised if you coudn't knock off at least 50 bucks of both those builds. And if you see the 3570k For <$220 get it does small overclocks better with coolers like the 212. Mines at 4.2 Ghz running smooth.

Thanks I will take this in mind everyone
