AMD Option (Better GPU) or Intel Option (Equal CPU/GPU) £450 Budget

I have two options I've decided whether to overclock this Phenom II X4 965 with an after-market cooler with the GTX 660 2GB, which will give me brilliant optics but probably not that good performance overall with the Phenom holding it back.
The 2nd option is an i5-3470 with a Radeon 7850 2GB.
Which will give me better gaming performance overall? I'm going to be playing games like TF2, Guild Wars 2, Sims, Battlefield 3 and Gary's Mod. Thank you.

First the Intel option:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad-Core

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V Micro ATX LGA1155

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM

Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7850 2GB

Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V

Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer

RAM: Crucial Ballistix (2x4) 8GB 1600Mhz

Case: Novatech Vulcan Midi Case V2

Secondly the AMD option:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black 3.4GHz Quad-Core

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing Cooler

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme 3 ATX AM3+

Memory: Kingston Predator Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 660 OC Twin Frozr 2GB

Case: Cooler Master Elite 335 Upgraded ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply

Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer

eather build is nice but if you are going to go with the amd build you should try and get a 7950 http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/p/t5Oj

with the 7950 and 7970 you get about £100 in free games. also with the i5-3470 you you cant overclock so going with an amd fx chip would do better after you overclock. also the 8320 and the 8350 will beat the i5-3470.

If you are strictly sticking to either of those builds, i would take the intel as it pulls away by bus lengths in gaming vs the phenom or even the 8320 stock for stock.

Here is a Phenom 964 vs a 3470: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/102?vs=702

Here is a FX8320 vs 3470: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/698?vs=702 (scroll to the bottom for the gaming fps)

When it comes to games, it is all mostly depedant on the GPU, if you can get a 965 and throw a 7950 with it do it! Out of those two systems, i would take the i5 purely for its CPU horsepower and that the 7850 has the right amount of fps on the games i like.

I built a AMD FX 6300, HD 7850 machine the other month for £511...
