What do they mean by 2nd gen FX? If it is what I think they mean, and not just a refresh like same-performance-but-lower-tdp crap like the last time they pulled then it will at least have a substantial performance upgrade. They're Zen is the most intriguing one since it's FM3 socket, which means no more AM sockets in the future.
I think they are referring to the 8300 Chips and the Energy Efficient chips. i can't comprehend how they plan on releasing the exact same processor for the fourth time.
Piledriver is the second gen FX, Bulldozer was the first gen.
Glad to see they will be combining a brand new socket/platform moving forward (FM3). No more segregation of the APU and enthusiast parts. :)

It's a Leak.. you're not supposed to take the information to heart. you take it with a grain of salt.
I understand that. I'm just stating were I stand on this leak.
Jumping straight to 14nm causes me pause and reminds me just how long in the tooth the amd platform is.
That's what AMD gets for Focusing on Pile-driver/Bulldozer based cores.
It is a reference to the last roadmap they did. 2nd Generation FX is Piledriver, which are all the current FX-43XX, FX-63XX, and FX-83XX (and FX-9XXX) series of processors on the market.
It's been so long, we all seem to have forgot...
Either way, I have seen these a couple times now. I think their source is WCCFtech, whose source of currency is rumors and leaks. Take it with a shot of salt and vodka.
Still the Zen architecture looks realy interessting.
I hope it will be something great.
