AMD is dropping the prices on NAVI

I guess this is the original site where the 5700XL and 5700XT benchmark results were found.

That chart reads weird; we know that the 1070ti, 1080, 2070, and Vega 64 all offer approximately the same performance, yet the chart has the 2060 non-super performing better than any of them. It has the 2070 non-super performing like a 1080ti which is simply not accurate.

I suggest waiting for the embargo tomorrow, as that chart is fishy.

IIRC VII are MI50’s that did not make the cut.

They’re Ml50s alright, but I don’t know that they were binned. Nvidia’s ridiculous pricing and poor performance gave AMD an opportunity to sell a workstation card to consumers, so they took it.

Without SR-IOV, it aint a workstation card imho.

I don’t think that is what @Ruffalo meant but otherwise I would agree.

I thought a lot about both 5700s and unfortunately neither of the two matches what I want. My general purpose / editing rig (RX570) would only profit from the video de-/encoder and for just that the 5700 is too expensive. On the other hand my gaming rig is running a Vega64 so the performance uplift would be minimal.

Both cards are so close in performance and price … I’m not sure why they launched this way.
I need (well, “need”) something way faster and/or something way cheaper.
