Amd heatsink help

Im currrntly building my PC and one of the clamps isnt long enough to hook onto the plastic nub 

please help i dont know what im doing rong. im using the standard amd heatsink for x4 965

I've had the same problem with Asus M5A97 R2.0 and stock FX-8320 cooler.

You can either try to force it or just get an aftermarket cooler like Hyper 212 Evo.

Im using the m-atx version so that may be it
