Amd fx8350 vs i5 intel

Ok I have some questions

1st for AMD

I heard AMD processors heat up pretty fast

So I live in India and I can't find a water cooler here for the CPU

so the question it gets like desert here in the summer

My friend had like a laptop of amd processor when he brought it to India on the 3rd week its greenchip got cooked by the heat so should I go for amd here in India cause I have never used it.

And I am getting i5 here for 185$

And amd fx8350 for 203 $

so I am waiting for Logan vedio of overclockd i5 vs 8350

so please suggest me which one should I go for

I am scared that amd will get cooked cause of heat but I am also kind of attracted to it cause amd is 8 core and i5 is quad core please suggest me something

Thank u

you don't necessarily need a water cooling to OC, just grab a air cooloer with a giant heatsink and good fans like noctua's

Reason why your friend's chip fried was because..it's a laptop.

If you're getting an 3570k, I wouldn't suggest it because if you're OC'ing an ivy bridge with your high ambient temp, i can see you might run into issues since ivy doesn't OC well compared to sandy.

what are you using the computer for? if it's just gaming, go with the i5. if your streaming/recording, or doing video editing stuff, go for the 8350. in either case, make sure your case has really good airflow, and that you get a good heatsink for the cpu.

heatsinks I reccomend are, in no particular order:

  • nzxt havik 140
  • noctua nh-d 14
  • thermalright silver arrow sb-e
  • phanteks double tower

Go with the 3570k if it's cheaper, less heat, less power consumption and a better all round CPU

If you really want to over clock look for the 2500k as there will be a little less heat from a over clock, and should be even cheaper then the 3570k for the same performance.

You don't need water cooling, you can get just as good temps with air if your ok with a little bit of case noise........just look for a good after-market cooler that will take a push pull fan set up, there are some excilent options for far less then the cost of water cooling.

Can you not just mail order thing from other countries?

No I can't mail order. It cost 200 $ just for  shipping
