Just watched the new CPU video Logan uploaded and had a quick question. I don't know a lot about AMD so what level is the FX-8350 in AMD's line up? Because I know Intel is like this 3570k<3770K<3820 at least I think thats how it is.
The FX-8350 is the best of the four that exist right now. It goes like this. FX-4300 > FX-6300 > FX-8320 > FX-8350.
I am now tempted to go with AMD on my new build. Hopefully I will have the money by mid July. I have been with Intel ever since I got my QX6700 and that is still my primary machine. The only worry I have though is with AMD's GPU drivers. I always seem to have some kind of trouble with their catalyst control center. Either it works fine or it wont load at all. Which then you can't configure anything.
Also I had a problem with an AMD gpu where I couldn't disable the onboard audio built into the GPU. AMD told me there was an option in the CCC to disable it but no such option was there. That's why I usually go with NVIDIA but with the performance vs price of the 7870 GHz Edition that has my interest.
I'd like to go with AMD in the future also. I'm stuck with a Xeon E3-1230v2 for now though. Not that it's a bad thing.
