AMD FX-8350 low salary build

Hello there teksysndicate forum members, glad you checked in.

I live in Poland and I recently thought about changing some parts in my pc.

here is my picks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NXSs

there is no CPU cooler, help here needed. Xigmatek Khler Xigmatek Dark Knight (but will look for ver2, as i propobly dound version 1 ?) Some case suggestions also would be nice.

Rig will be used for gaming ( I dont need super crisp framerate, 30 - 60 FPS is playable for me ), some fun in photohackshop (no crazy stuff). and other things, that you can run on calculator these days. Some OC may be made, as I like to squize some more, not to crazy though.

Budget is about 550$ (1$ is about 3,12 polish złoty), but you can bend it a little. I will be buying where is the cheapest in my country, so propobly onlineshops, but first I'll check my friendly friend seller in my local shop, he can give guite a good diskounts for me :D

I will be upgrading from ore(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300, GIGABYTE P31-S3G, 2X Kingston HyperX DDR2 PC2-5300 2048MB, some fan, and 400W tracer powersuply. Zotac Geforce GTS450 (maybe in near feature I'll change this card)

As I said, I'm from POLAND and you should take a note about not going crazy with parts, salary is way too low here, in spite what politicians think and say, well mostly say ...

P.S.

As I'm not a native english speaker there will be typos, and errors, sorry.

Firs of all what is your budget?

Second: Save your self and most importantly us from trouble:

put the link from the site you attend to buy HW, make sure it was translated in google translate, otherwise its useless

Updated. Thanks.

That is actually a quite nice setup.. I think i'll consider it... But best I think will be cheaper in poland.. will note these Ram though.

One question. Why that power supply ? XFX not efficient enaugh ?

XFX aint that trust worthy to me...

If yoou can find LC power GP3 (not GP2!) 650w in Poland you will buy exelent PSU for only 50 euros or so...

actually its not the motherboard needs a bios update to enable AM3+ FX chips -this is something you will not be able to do with a fx chip as the motherboard will not even post

so you will be buying a older am3 chip just to flash the motherboard

If you what to use a powerfull chip on a stable motherboard and be able to do overclocking you need a 990fx chipset motherboard.... you may get lucky and get one with the bios updated on it or ask your supplier to update it for you to use it

Like this one ? http://translate.google.pl/translate?sl=pl&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=pl&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.saturion.pl%2Fproduct%2F159498%2FSprzet_komputerowy_%2FPodzespoly%2FLC_POWER_650w_LC6650GP3_V2_3_140mm_PCI_E_4x_SATA_80_Bronze.html

Like those ? :

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga990fxaud3

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-990fxagd65v2

wchich one to choose now ...

any one of those will take a FX chip out of the box pick one you can afford the asus, extreme and MSI do nice motherboards

Yep that psu, you found it

As for possible MB/cpu incompatibility, MB's with old BIOS were made at least year or more ago, if you are that lucky and that MB's BIOS isnt compatible with your cpu, your friend at the store can easily update it (its a very simple thing actually).

Most important thing about OC-ing is the Phase power Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, or Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 have 8+2 phase power, so the OC possibilities in theory are the same.

If you wanna save money go for Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3.

Chipset has nothing to do with OC-ing in AMD's case

GA-990FXA-UD3

GA-990FXA-UD3

Thanks guys (girls?)I think I will go with Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0,Seasonic M12II-620 (or LC power GP3 650W), dark knight for cooling, kingston beast 8GB 2133Mhz

Last thought, is it better to buy now, or w8 to release of new processor to have a price drop or new option? When is new release ?

yes go with the Asus M5A99FX pro R2.0 ☺

Logan oc the FX8350  to 5GHZ on that board. and it supports FX2.0 out of the box.

And shall i clear the mythe about the Gigabyte GA-970a-ud3, if you want that baord to support FX2.0 out of box, make sure you buy the R3.0 version of this board.

otherwise its a miss ☻

grtz Angel ☻

Ok, we have a problem, love it. Store where I buy dosnt have that Asus motherboeard, they suggested

Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 or Asus Sabertooth 990 FX R2.0

What you guys think ? sabertooth has that chipset, or maybe another mobo ?

Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 i have that board my self its a great board, with the same power phase as the 99FX pro, but you only have 1 pci-e slot running at x16 the other one is running at x4 so not realy ideal for crosfire.

The Sabbertooth is a very good option. it has also a better power phase  8+2.

other alternatives Gigabyte GA-990FX-ud3, i personaly dont like GB boards, but that board is cheaper then the sabbertooth.
