Hello!! I have been attempting to build a PC for months now. I am still in the process of choosing parts!! I had a build in mind that would have been perfect. Here is a link to see it if you wish... http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qkkct6. However due to my "friend" who was hooking me up with a job bailed, I had to lower my budget. My final product I finished making just now is here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vKnJWZ.
Because there are a lot (and I mean A LOT) of people that know more for me, I was hoping you could help!!
I want a PC. A PC that could Stream and play Games. Also possibly stream these games on my PC. These games I want to run at 1080p, 60fps, at Ultra-High settings for the next two years. I have max $2,000 budget and this includes peripherals(3 monitors plz). I also want a Red/Black theme.
Thank you so much everybody that helps. I am really eager to get into PC gaming, and with an awesome community like this, I am sure it will be an easy transition. Have a great day everyone!!
EDIT-----My monitor system is peculiar. Two monitors will be used for web browsing and light gaming(LoL/Dota 2) and the third will be used for console gaming(I have friends on consoles) and devoted gaming(Most games/CS:GO) The third will switch between Console and PC. NO TRIPLE MONITOR SURROUND GAMING
Ahoy there. Just to clarify things for everyone, you are including 3 monitors into the $2k budget? Knowing this will help determine the best build from your remaining cash.
My question is as follows... Are you truely willing to spend 2k USD, and completely damage the rig in an accident, possibly due to being new to computers, or are you so confident that you aren't going to do that?
This is always my first question to a new builder, spending a large sum on a first rig and having no clue how to maintain or work with it properly will end up badly, or will end up with you being extremely annoying to friends or w/e.
I have been doing nonstop research for what seems like forever now. I like to think I do, however I don't want to lie to myself. I am new and I may screw up. I want to spend as little as possible to get what I want. If that can happen for less, than please show me.
Just because its his first build doesnt mean he should intentionally reduce the budget as long as he has the funds available and wants to use them.
Just make sure to take things slow and ask questions - even if you think they are dumb questions. You should be able to get plenty of help here and from build videos.
I think I'd still just go with a standard GTX980. No need to put down the extra cash for the Ti imo. A standard 980 will be able to run pretty much anything for the next 2 years at high/ultra at 1080p.
Save some money there and then invest it back into better quality cooling components and or MOBO
Old 2012 architecture that was already obsolete, terrible price to performance, outdated socket, the Xeon above in the earlier build is practically an i7 for the price of an i5, you would need a high end air cooler or decent liquid cooler, yeah.....
No problem. AMD should have their CPU segment updated in 2016 with Carrizo, but for now I can't recommend anything but their gpus. I still use a 7870 and it rocks
