I'm building a recently PC, that i can watch videos at 1080P, and do basic games.
I wanted to run games like (Perfect World, AION, Aura Kingdom...) Well, some MMORPG's paired with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 1GB DDR3.
I'm having some trouble with these games, Because, when i'm playing, the CPU Usage went to 100%, and starts lagging, i don't know if the GPU are Okay, but i'm sure the problem is on the CPU. My current CPU is an AMD Sempron 140 Single Core 2.7Ghz, and my OS is Windows 8.1 x64.
I wanted to know, which one, will be the best choice for me, the Quad Core Athlon 5150, Or the Dual Core A4 4000.
Their specs on this site : http://www.game-debate.com/cpu/index.php?pid=2052&pid2=1921&compare=athlon-5150-vs-apu-a4-4000
Compared to a Sempron single-core they're the Dalai Lama. I'm guessing his standards aren't nearly as high as yours. But yeah, the dual-core is better. Really these processors are designed for just a home PC that doesn't do anything more demanding than video streaming and spreadsheets... really isn't meant for modern games.
But an A4 (see if you can find an A4-6300 instead of the A4-4000) would be better. Similar multi-threaded performance (thanks to having nearly twice the clock speed) and twice the single-threaded performance which is super important for games.
