AMD APU Crossfire with GPU?

I built my brother a budget Gaming PC to get him off his Xbox. I went with an AMD A6 6400K APU because it was the cheapest option at the time of purchase. Now that I have gone through a few newer GPU's on my system I was wondering if I could use one of my newer cards on his system using crossfire.

The GPU's:

ASUS R7 240 2GB DDR3 (preferred card to use)

MSI R7 260X OC 2GB DDR5.

I know that the A6 6400K can crossfire with a 6570 or 6450, but will it also work with the 240 or 260x?

*also the PSU is only a 380W*

The r7 260x won't crossfire with the a6 6400k, but it will be an improvement in graphics either way.

Hey, I know this is probably a little late. But I was researching this for a build I will be doing and found something interesting on AMD's website you might want to check out. Apparently (from my interpretation) you should be able to crossfire your apu with at least one of those gpu's.

Check out AMD site with Q&A here: AMD Crossfire APU Page

I hope this helps
