AMD 6300 overclock

Hey I've been trying to overclock my amd 6300 processor with amd overdrive if i turn the multiplyer up by just one windows aero turns off and won't turn back on. I've tried higher voltages but aero still won't turn back on. Any ideas?

what are you system specs?

dont use amd over drive do it in the bios when you overclock.

I haven't found any clear instructions on how to do that with my bios

what kind of motherboard are you using?

a biostar ta970

Its pretty simple to overclock with a multiplier.

1. Boot into the Bios

2. Take what you want as a speed and divide it by 200(the default fsb) and that gets you the multiplier you want for that speed. Save and exit at that multiplier.

3. Boot into windows download Prime95 and hwinfo64(get 32 if you have 32os) test on blend mode for 30m-1h if it dosent crash or exceed 65C in temperature, its stable.

4. If you want more start again and try a bigger multiplier. If it crashes boost your voltage about 0.04v and try again. Remember not to let it exceed 65c in temperature.
