AM5 256GB/CUDIMM: nice surprise?

From ASUS’ latest AM5/X670E bios:

3.Added support for up to 5200MT/s when four 64GB memory modules
(total 256GB) are installed. The exclusive AEMP option will appear when
compatible models are populated.

I assume this refers to Kingston’s 64GB CUDIMMS. So CUDIMM support coming to AM5 too, including zen 4?

Interesting find… :slightly_smiling_face:

It does require proprietary support from the DRAM modules too, which means options might be limited. But here to hoping the Kingston also has the ECC UDIMM versions too.

Unfortunately, this information does not line up with one of ASUS’s own publications: edgeup.asus.com/2025/aemp-iii-gives-you-a-seamless-experience-with-the-new-kingston-64gb-ddr5-memory-modules/:

To make sure that you have a seamless experience running a system with four of these memory modules with your ASUS Z890 or B860 motherboard, our research and development team collaborated closely with Kingston.

Neither of the two mentioned are AMD boards.

yep the video is a few days old now . . .

That mentioned only intel, no?

d’oh. I don’t think cudimm on am5 are a thing yet. should have looked closer. yes video was Intel specific

That was quite the rollercoaster, there were ups and then downs.
