For a bit of a back story. I have an old game Star Trek Armada to be exact. This game hates to run properly. It has graphical glitches on Virtual Machines. Using an unofficial patch I can get it to run on Windows 7. But it crashes every 10 minutes (I timed it). Its fine a few times but it gets really annoying when I want to play a long session or I'm playing the much longer final missions. I've tried to get it to work to my liking on several different VM programs and Computers. But the only one that it works properly on is an old dell laptop using Intel Graphics. It gets rather tedious switching between my desktop and the laptop also with my lack of desk space when I want to use my good laptop I have to change the wiring behind the desk because they both have different power sockets only to do the same thing again when I want to play Armada (I don't feel comfortable playing games anywhere besides my Desk). I installed steam on the old dell but it wouldn't let me stream games because it wasn't supported and I doubt it will ever be.
I looked at a few like OnLive but wasn't sure if it allowed streaming from XP (I'm tired of making accounts for websites where all I want to do is download 1 thing only to have it not work then get their newsletter in my spam box every week). I also looked at Limelight but seems to only support newer Nvidia Cards which I don't have. Anyone have some suggestions.
