Alternative to MicroSnitch for Linux

Hi there wonderful forum people!

So I was typing my passphrase into my password manager and it hit me, my microphone is attached and is pretty much very near my keyboard.

I am using a tactile keyboard so the sounds are probably more subtle vs a clicky type of switch. And while I am more or less sure that no one is actively listening, how does one audit the attached USB microphone in a Linux operating system?

I am using Fedora 36 and it has pipewire. I recall installing an program called EasyEffects and it shows if any, the active recording processes running. I tested how it looks if I launch something like Audacity and it does show plainly, the actively recording process when I hit record. But prior to this, I saw entries in the Recorders section flicker as Audacity starts.

How do I figure out which apps and programs listens on the microphone? What is a good MicroSnitch alternative for Linux, specifically for Fedora and its associated pipewire audio environment?

Interesting, never even knew this was a thing. Have you ever caught anything with MicroSnitch?

Yes Oracle Webex listens to stuff all the time. I told my spouse to make sure webex isnt running in the background at all times.
