Almost $700 build

saw logan's video and thought, "maybe i could get better"
a guy i know picked these parts out for me (i needed the optical drive so i picked that): http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2h90c

and yes i know about the case not having usb 3 headers (i don't really need them tbh)
so what do you guys think. are there any parts i should replace?

oh right, i'm looking at this for some gaming and music production (in FL, i make electronic music)
games i want to play are the source games (half-life, tf2, GMod) and casual games (terraria, audiosurf, etc.), older games (maybe some UT99), and emulators (i'm more of a retro gamer than anything) and i want to play them at a decent resolution at above 30 FPS

Looks pretty good.  here's some cheaper RAM that should perform just as good:

the ram in my rig has cas latency of 8.. does that make much of a difference?

It would improve general performance, and if you have enough in your budget, you can pick it up.  Personally, I would save the twenty dollars and get RAM with a CAS of 9.
