I have a couple of old Linux laptops that have Intel integrated graphics. They work fine for basic web surfing and messing around (all I use them for), but I would like to try and allocate a little bit more RAM to the graphics. The problem is, the BIOS doesn't allow me to change it AT ALL on one of them, and the other one only allows me to choose 1MB or 8MB. So both have 8MB of graphics RAM.
Is there a program I can run at boot that will increase the amount of RAM available to the graphics?
The laptops are an Inspiron 1100 and an Inspiron 6000, both with Celerons (if that matters)
Oh yeah and they're running Debian Linux and GNOME DE at the moment.
