I’ll be honest, the way I’ve handled things was lame for the last few days. I’ve been under a lot of pressure lately and I just want to get back to making great content for you all. What you’ve seen should have been handled internally and amongst the Tek Syndicate staff. This probably seems so sudden to everyone and we could have handled this split more professionally. There came a time where I realized that my vision for Tek Syndicate was muddy. We often did not see eye-to-eye on things, some things didn’t get done, there was unspoken resentment, etc. We really have been going our own separate ways. Our projects really lacked communication and common vision. I’m surprised we didn’t made changes sooner, given how Tek Syndicate has been recently. Something had to be done. It was time for two separate visions and two separate teams or companies. This is my company and I’ll shoulder the blame for the communication issues. I could’ve handled the aftermath in a better way. I’m sorry this became a public issue instead of an internal one. Ultimately it's stressful and somewhat ugly (he said, she said and such). In the end, I’m very happy about these changes. I am going to be able to build a local team and really focus on the original vision and start making awesome content for you guys. Moving forward, changes are coming. Managing a company spread across the states was a bad idea. I am only interested in having a core unit now. My ambition has been to find a place full of nerdy culture and good people, and Portland is finally the place. There is a great network of people here and I’m sure tapping into that will help with our content. People are concerned about finances. We have hired an amazing CPA here in Portland who specializes in wily tech companies. He is helping with the books now and will help us fix any issues from the past. I also plan to shuffle most of the day to day minutia into someone else's hands so I can focus on content. I know some of you are …

noted. I just felt I had to express my feelings in a thread, as I have given probably over $100 to them over the past year. I appreciate their values and want the show to succeed, however the events leading to this is confusing to me.

Was it that Logan wanted to make the show more entertainment and gaming centric, while Wendell wanted it more tech / linux centric?

I don't know, that's just my first-hand hypothesis. But, nonetheless... it won't be the same without Wendell.

If the content was maybe once or twice a week, it would have flourished much more than it has now.

I will keep this minimal as possible as Wendell has requested that we try to keep things calm for the next couple of days while he tries to do his thing. So please keep in mind this is a quick summary and follow wendells request please However, please put down your torches and pitchforks, reason will rule the day. A number of the community had concerns about the patreon money, the lack of following through with goals and the lack of following through with some of the rewards. Suggesting that he was scraping by didnt ad up with what we knew about how this works and how much they were making with the number of sources of income they had. (Wendell later went on to provide information showing that they had indeed made a 125k increase from previous years) (this was my post to him about it) (in reference to not achieving goals and having no income) @logan I'm sorry man but come on, this is bullshit, like I said in the removed topic, we care, we do, but you cant keep bullshiting us. You speak about patreon like its your only income. We're not dumb, you speak like patreon is your main source of income. how did you survive before it? You have income (publicly at least) from patreon, epicpants, sponsored videos and content, various ads revenue, affiliate links, tek support. Wheres all the money going? To suggest that your trying to make ends meet and aren't super profitable is a load of crap. You pay for yourself, @DeusQain, @wendell , @gearheadgirl27 , pistol. You have a nice new office (where were you when that was being done?). Offices aren't cheap, employees aren't cheap. Your all getting paid (i hope) so to suggest you don't have money is ridiculous. No ones saying your super rich but come one, were all aware how much youtube/video type companies can make. Dont bullshit us. We're not idiots. You know guys.. we can't turn on @Logan like this...

I feel bad for him.

His community is shattering around him. The patreon literally lost half of its patrons.

Maybe he felt like he was losing control of something he created. He created RTW way before Wendell was ever in the picture. This was his thing for like a decade.

Now everyone is turning on him and he's trying to keep it together and at any moment, I feel that he can just say 'fuck it', and leave, or shut down the site.

I am sort of ashamed how everything transpired here. Even my sort of catharsis post in Blog, I regret. I shouldn't place blame on anyone without information. In fact, we are owed nothing from him. We gave him money on our own volition because we respect him and the crew.

He probably realizes he made mistakes. He's working on it. Give him a chance. Let him breath. He will be back and hopefully everything will work out.

We don't know what he's going through. We don't have all the information. We are jumping the gun. He's a person and his life is in tatters, as he's living in a bedroom trying to get this thing back off the ground. I don't know what is happening again... neither do you fully.

I do know that he is paying for this site however. He's checking up on the site. He cares about what we think. He hopes he can save this...

I hope he can too.

ill gladly support him again maybe, but he has to show he can do it by himself before that he has to rebuild and work hard for that then ill consider supporting again

I'm pretty much feeling the same way. Yeah, @Logan probably lost his nerves, but does that necessarily mean that this amazing community must end? I don't think so. And even though i posted like a single topic and a couple likes here and there i always considered this forum as a nice place to get advice from, look at other people's projects and stuff. Personally i haven't seen such a nice IT community in a long time. Mainly because forums in my country are full of either knowlegable people being mean as hell or a bunch of newbies trying to help without any actual knowledge.

Not to mention that post from @Alamar, who is a mod, got de-moded with everyone else. And he has been physically there to try to help TS.

@Fouquin was actually there at the office with Qain when he went to pick up his stuff.

Most of us regulars have talked on voice to Qain, Jenny and Wendell. We were there when Logan took down the site. We know what happened.

Just because you like Logan on YouTube doesn't mean he did nothing wrong. @cam.bankord

I find it ironic how Logan talks about how bad different governments are because they censor information but he cant seem to live by what he says.
