Most of my icons look like this now:
I tryed finding a solution, but nothing has worked. Please help.
open task manager, kill explorer.exe then restart it, see if that works.
also, have you tried rebooting?

That happened to me with the iTunes logo, it seems more serious with you though. You have 2 options (that I know of):
- Re-install the bad applications: It worked for me!
- Create a new shortcut, which is directed to the executable (.exe) file of the programme. Then, just simply go into the properties of the shortcut and say 'choose icon' then, locate the executable file, and in there, you should find the logos whoch the application comes with.
well for one, right click the taskbar, properies, check use small icons and select combine when taskbar is full

Did you delete the shortcuts for those apps from your desktop? because that offten happens on windows 7.
Not shure why it happens but now i just rigthclick "hide icons" now instead of deleteing them to cleen up my desktop
i've had same problem at times in windows 7 after deleting icons off my desktop. i just reinstall the program/or create a new shortcut for it. Then use this method.
To hide a single or specific icons on your desktop.
Simply right click the icon, Select Properties.
Click on the General Tab, At the bottom in the selection marked "Attributes"
change it's properties to hidden. Click Apply then close.
Icon has Vanished.
To make it reappear, Go into Control panel. "Folder Options" , "Select View"
Change it to show hidden files and folders, Cick apply and it will reappear.
To hide again just change the same option back again.
To permanently "un-hide" change the Attributes again and just un-tick the Hidden box.
Forget all of this. Download explorer.exe and swap the corrupt one out with the new one. This is the only thing that worked for me. I used to kill explorer.exe and restart it all the time. Now my icons always load properly.
