Alienware?

So, I have been putting alot of consideration into getting a new PC, I want one that can run games on mid - high settings. I was wandering If I could get the newest alienware (Alienware x51) or if I should just make my own. I have never built one before so I'm kind of scared. And, if I get the alienware x51 (I would get the Intel core I3) I want to know how well it will run and also if it will be upgradeable in the future.

Lol thanks, you showed me the meaning of life.

idk it looks kinda cool ,)  BUT it also looks kinda slow hehe

Logan builds trump any alienware (I still have yet to see a bitfenix mini-itx build)

It looks cool but a 555? bitch please

If you want 1337 computer pros building your system, testing, overclocking it, and giving you a really solid warrenty, go with alienware. I recommend getting the fully geared package if you ccan, for the mouse, keyboard, and headset. If you consider yourself a 1337 pro, build your own. It's cheaper and you are the only one to blame if it messes up. Plus you can get what works know, and upgrade what you want later. Modular-ness is awesome, most alienware's are not modular.

Build your own. Alienware tends* to overprice their products that are not worth it. If you spend $500 on a DiY system, you can get 3x the bang than a $500 Alienware computer.

Never buy Alienware.

I'm staring at this, and the difference is closer to $150 as your missing windows 7 which cost about $120 off of newegg. So really, that 150 is more or less being used for assembling the computer for you and name.

If anyone here is EVER thinking about buying a alienware I will come to your house and murder you in the sleep.

Still $150 that isn't going to the actual hardware. Not to mention the PSU I doubt is actually any good, that cheapy 420W PSU will cost you $620 in the long run.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4Js2A1qdB8 With Logans guidance you can do it, and 100 other peoples guidence from here and more video then I can count on youtube.

I know how you feel dude, I almost bought an X51 myself, but I ended up building my own instead, and I feel I got a much better deal. I was going to get a more expensive version though, but for the same price I was able to get a better computer on every level. Plus you get to completely customize it to make it how you want, not getting stuck with whatever parts they put in it, which I liked a lot. I mean,  you know the processor that goes in there, but you don't know the mobo, or what brands they use for their RAM, PSU, HDD's/SSD's, etc. All of that is important to me, and I question the level of quality of the parts they would use. They are a business, so if they could save money and use cheap parts that are low quality, they probably would. Just keep stuff like that in mind before buying anything, whether Alienware or DIY.

the sleep, maybe not yours, but definetly in the sleep

alienware puts a 240w psu in a system that should get a 500w
