Air compressor for dust cleaning

I thought the Data Vac’s were supposed to stop issues with static shocks too, or am I off my tree again?

I believe some of their models are considered ESD safe. I specifically have an non-esd safe Electric Duster Model.

Air compressors literally have a valve to release the moisture that gets in them.
This is because they can explode if they get rusty inside.

Do not use them for spraying out your PC.

It’s a bad idea.

Here is a youtube video that shows what happens when a compressor is never drained and let to rust:

that is why i stated use an air drier and filters.
compressors should always be equipped with an automatic water purge valve
like these:

data vacs do work but if the body is plastic (as almost all are) air movement across plastic surfaces can generate a static charge

for cleaning keyboards they may work ok
canned air works good but you must make sure the system is powered down and the cord disconnected from the power supply.
