Afraid to drop money on Fallout 3

Hello everyone, so I played the bejesus out of Fallout 3 on the XBOX 360 but have since sold my 360 and built a new gaming PC. I am looking at Fallout 3 GOTYE on Steam and noticed it says

"Notice: Fallout 3 is not optimized for Windows 7"

Also here is a screenshot of it

I just don't really want to waste money if I don't have to. I mean I can get the PS3 version but that is the most inferior version :(

I personally own it and it works fine.

I would also recommend checking out Gophersmodvids channel on Youtube.  He has a lot of valuable info for you on going about modding the game if that is something that you would like to get into doing.  Also gives good instruction on mod installation and lists a few to increase overall performance of the game, i.e.: Stutter removers and the like.

Overall, it is not a waste of money, and personally I wouldn't go back to a console version for the overall modability of the game, given both its matured age as well as the dedicated modders for Bethesda games. Also, It does look and feel way better in my opinion on the pc than it did on the Xbox360 or the PS3

I know all about GophersVids on youtube. I wathced them for modding Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim. Although I do not use any mods that change gameplay or any mods that change the way the developers inteded the game to be played. It's just a personal preference. I use mods to improve performance and stability.

I reinstalled it not that long ago. I had to download a dll file I found on the steampowered forums to make it run.  It wasnt hard and only took a few minutes.
