Affordable Asus Monitor for Surround

I recently watched the Asus 7970 Eyefinity video and what you said at the end hit me. Something like, "You're crazy if you're on windows 8, or gaming in general, on only one monitor." This summer I'm going to build my first strictly gaming rig and I was wondering what monitor, preferably Asus, would be good for 3-way surround. Needs to have a small bezel, 1080p, 2ms response or less, 16.7 mil color display, etc. Is the one shown in your video the best one for the price? Thanks

I really don't like multi-monitor setups for gaming, as I really hate bezels getting in my line-of-sight. If you really must, I would say to eschew the need for sub-2ms response times, as the human eye actually can't see them anyway (Up to between 5 and 8 is perfectly acceptable, although past 10 is entirely too much) and instead look at some IPS monitors, they are absolutely beautiful and have some really nice viewing angles, so you can really use them for surround gaming without having to look directly at them by turning your head to get accurate color representation, your peripheral vision will pick up accurate colors regardless of the angle. Plus, most IPS panels have substantially thinner bezels than most standard LCD panels. The 20" HP one on newegg is actually a pretty attractive proposition, although the apparent bezel thickness in their images is inaccurate as they use prerendered images pasted on the screen. Regardless of that, the bezel is still only around a centimeter thick. Also, you will want to stick with something smaller than 25" for multiple monitors or they won't fit on your desk or be usable for gaming on.

Actually has a 5ms response time and relatively thin bezels as well (although still not as thin as they keep making them out to be in the website pics.)

Also you got to know that most newer IPS panel monitors have no ghosting at 5ms and even higher than 5ms
