I would like to do a little over clocking on my system this is what i have http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1aClZ what is a good safe over clock to start with on this build? any advice is welcome.
SInce you have a decent cooler and such there is no reason why you should be able to attain clocks around the 4.7ghz+ mark.
As with any overclocking, place memory back to default, increase the frequency in small steps, test stability, increase again until its unstable, then give some more vcore, keep doing this until your happy with the load temps etc then go ahead and increase your ram speeds until it reaches a point of maximum speed or a level that you are happy with.
A quick peek on youtube has a chap doing an overclock on the same chip and board you have;

From past xp I wouldnt really advice going higher than the 1.55v mark for 24/7 use with the vishera chips. Just find a nice balance. And dont be tempted to leave the cpu voltage on auto.
Thank's a million. I was looking at the 4.2ghz mark i am just a ilttle nerviuos because the max reccomended temp for the 6300 is 60c. but on stock settings with the cooler i have i have yet to see 35c out of my machine.
