Advice or Suggestion on Gaming PC Build

I am looking to build an almost exclusively gaming PC that I will be adding parts to later.

So far I have come up with this: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Waarlock/saved/1Z8B

Out of these parts, I would love sugggestions on motherboard and memory.

For the motherboard, I am looking for 32GB optional memory expansion, similar I/O (6Gb/s Sata, USB3). Also at least 1 PCI-E 23.0 slot.

For the memory, I would prefer to be adding 1 8GB stick, rather than 2 4GB units. Clock speed and cas latency aren't that important to me.

Later I plan on adding a graphics card, possibly this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-fx797atdfc

I do plan on overclocking the CPU, so I would love suggestions about CPU coolers. However I don't plan on creating a custom loop.

At this point in the build (with no GPU), I am looking at a budget of around $800.

In terms of gaming, I am coming from an ancient system so I'm not picky about settings. I currently have a 1080p and a 1440p display in house, and whenever I do get a graphics card I will use whichever can give me a good balance between quality and FPS.

I'm not to worried about peripherals, I already have things that work.

I already have Windows 8, but I will probably go to 8.1 when it's fully released.

All help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you could get your final build to look something like this that is a great gaming pc and will play most games maxed at 1080p and high on 1440p if you get a 7970 but I would reccomend the msi 7950
