Advice on this build :3

I have an unused i3 2120 with an ASUS motherboard (p8h61-m lx r2) and a hard drive somewhere. I'm thinking of bringing these with me to the UK this september to be used only for gaming.

I have about 200 pounds set aside to build this pc in the uk
right now im considering to get a 7850, 4gbs 1600mhz corsair ram (will get another stick later down the road) , and corsair cx 430w psu.

Is this build any good ?

ps i will be using this pc to play bf4 when it comes out ( i dont mind playing it on low-medium settings)

I dont play MMOs

i could add another 50 pounds in the budget if its necessary

I would recommend finding room in that budget to up your RAM to 8GB at least, the difference I've found when gaming between 4 and 8 is am amazing, windows 7 uses about 3.4GB just running in the background. I would also say, try going with a 2GB version of the 7850 if you can.

thx dude
i shall get the 2 gb version

For gaming, 4GB is fine. You don't use 4GB RAM in a single game generally and you really only need 8GB for multitasking and rendering. RAM is easily upgradable so get 4GB and save for more after.

If you are going low res gaming, stick with the 1GB card. 2GB VRAM is for 1080/1050 gaming while 1GB is for 900/720 gaming.

4gb is fine for gaming. My pc uses 1.8gb idle and while playing bf3 it only uses about 3.8gb of ram. But still 8gb is still nice to have.

Vengeance how does your windows use 3.4gb? With 3 tabs open, steam downloading and Foobar2k playing im only using 2.4gb.
