so i am living here in thailand. And i am going to be building a PC soon, and i was hoping if you guys thought this build would be worth it. it totaled to $ 1,220
AMD CPU's are much cheaper as the Intel's. Try to find an AMD CPU which has the same specs as the I5 3570k. The PSU (Power Supply Unit) has 700w. You won't need that many. go to pcpartpicker.com. Fill in your components and it tells you howmuch Watts you need. I'll go for the HD7870 Dual-X by Sapphire. This is just the best GPU in the price range for $200. your case fans are expensive ($7) You can have fine ones for ($4). Mabye you can get what cheaper RAM. For example Corsair Vengeance series but that's your choise. But for the rest it looks fine. Oh and if you're going for the AMD CPU make sure it's MOBO (motherboard) compatible
How is the weather in Thailand? Sir that power supply is quite massive for your system, even if you end up purchasing a HD7950 for example a quality 500-550w power supply will do the job well. Can you look on the online retailer you are buying from for 500-550w power supplies and post their names here and prices? We can help you pick one that works for your system while giving you leg room to grow.
The G.Skill ram might run into clearence issues with the 212 EVO, you will most likely have to play with the heatsink fan to get it to clear that ram. It is not a big deal but be ready to do some adjustment. Also what speed is the ram you are choosing?
The caviar green series is not really a OS type of hard drive, even though it will run perfectly fine the speeds will be not very good. May i recomend a blue series or black series? Seagate barracuda is also a bargain right now and they offer pretty decent drives and speed.
No need for coolermaster thermal paste, the 212 EVO will bring a tube of it already included. I love the HD7770 but buying a card twice does not sound to appealing, have you considered gaming with the on-cpu gpu? It could save you the money of the HD7770 and put you that much closer to a proper graphics card sooner.
