Advice On HDD Purchase

Hey everyone,

I need to replace my dead terabyte Seagate POS HDD in my gaming/editing machine. I am torn between the HGST 3TB and the Western Digital Black 3TB. What do you guys think? This HDD will be used for my primary game storage and some other miscellaneous file storage.

Go for the black, it will have better performance. The HGST is a NAS disk and you'll be paying for a bunch of features you won't use on a desktop disk.

Like @Dexter_Kane said, the Black will be better for gaming.

The HGST would be better for storing more important files, because of their better reliability.
