Advice for my build?

im hoping to build a pc to "kill my console" but im not very experienced. i have a budget of around 650$ (canadian)

and it would be great if i could get some responses telling me if the parts im thinking of using are good or bad.

cpu. AMD Fx-4130

cpu cooler. xigmatek LOKI sd963 52.0 cfm cpucooler

motherboard. asus m5a78l-m/usb3 microatx am3+ motherboard

RAM. kingston hyperx 8gb (2x4gb) ddr3-1600 memory

storage. 1tb western digital caviar blue 7200rpm 3.5"

gpu. msi gtx 650ti boost 1gb

case fractal design core 1000 usb3.0

power supply. rosewill capstone 650w 80plus gold  ATX12V/EPS12V

os. windows 8.1 oem64bit

optical drive. canniballized dvd reader thingy

I would use the money from the CPU cooler and put it into a better GPU, like an HD 7850 or GTX 750.  Also, FX-4130 is old architecture, might wanna look into a FX-4300 or something.  Power Supply is overkill, get a 80+Bronze thats 550W and it'll be fine.

For about the same money you could get an fx 6300 instead. Also an hd 7870 would be better than the 650 ti for about the same price. You may even be able to find an hd 7950 for cheap.

in order to get a fx6300 or 7870 i would have to go over budget. the current price of the build is within $0.56 of my $650 budget cap. also the power supply is overkill on purpose becuase i realize the flaw in the cpu/gpu and intend to upgrade down the road. ty for the comments/advice.

also i just found a Gigabyte r7 260x thats about the same price as the 650ti boost and the 260 is much newer and has more ram so i may go with that.

Yeah you should get that r7. Also the fx 6300 is only $20 more than the fx 4130 so there must be some way to squeeze that into your budget. The performance of the fx 6300 will be well worth the extra $20.

ya... i just found a pakage deal on some mushkin ramand a 6300 that makes it cheaper to go with that ty
