Hi guys,
About 5 years ago I bought a student copy of the CS4 "Production Premium" package. It cost me £270 (as apposed to something like £800, I think). It came with:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Flash
- Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Soundbooth (rest now sweet prince)
The main reason I chose this package was for Premiere Pro. I did video editing as part of my degree, and I'm needing to do a lot more of it now as part of work. The industry has moved on a fair bit since then, and I really need to upgrade.
I'm really not a fan of the software subscription business model, and I really appreciate that with MS Office 2013/365 you have the option to pay per month, or buy out-right. Obviously Adobe doesn't give you such "freedom". Looking at their website: the cost is something like £17.54/month (I can only assume that the silly price is down to currency conversion to GBP). But this is for one program. One!
I need Premiere Pro, and would quite like After Effects and Photoshop. But that's going to be about £52/month! Are you kidding me Adobe?!
I don't need the Master Suite, but I'm not going to pay £17/month/program. That's ridiculous.
Is it worth forking out the cash and hunting down a legitimate key for PP CS6? As I'm using this for business purposes, I'm only after a legitimate copy, so pirating won't do (sorry for being that guy).
Have I missed something? Are there packages of select Adobe CC programs I can get?
Thanks for the input!
