recently got an Acer X223W, when I power it on, it goes black after 2 seconds. I still get a video signal, just no black light. I am thinking it is either bad back lights or a bad power inverted board. I am just doing my research before I order a replacement for it. Seeing I got it for free, if I can fix it; the person said I could keep it for free. Do you guys think it's a bad power inverter board?
Its dead.
By the time you buy replacement parts, you could have just gotten a new screen.
If you are in a tough spot or just do not want to spend that much cash, I have a 1080 led monitor you can have for 50 bucks.
If you do not want mine, I am sure there are people in your area who could sell you a decent 1080p monitor for cheap.
I did get it for free. I do eventually want to fix it. What monitor do you have? Might buy it from ya. Don't know how much shipping would be seeing I live in Tampa FL
Some acer LED monitor. I can post specs later when I get home.
And yes, you got the monitor for free, but if you need to buy a new power brick, or back light, or what ever, then it isn't free is it? Even if you had to spend 20 bucks to get the thing to work, the screen itself is a piece of shit.
Its a much better idea to spend 50 bucks and get something fairly decent.
Dont forget about craigslist. You can score some nice stuff for cheap
I've been hunting around. Trying not to go over $60 if I can help it.
