Ability to separate USB, keyboard/hid, video and audio?

Can any version of L1LVVM support switching single inputs (U,HID/K&M,V,A)?
I think I know the answer but I was looking at the IOGEAR GCS1644 which offers a “Mode” button that toggles or filters the function of the switch.

For me, this would be very appreciated. I have a dual monitor and normally two, sometime three PCs and an odd XBox. I often simply need to toggle a singular monitor, while leaving audio and HIDs in place. Other times, I need to also swtich mouse and keyboard but leave audio. Combinations of these permutations vary by project honestly. Possible?

This led me to…

What if l1kvms were more like qmk keyboards/firmware?
If you don’t know, QMK firmware has a rich community built around certain hardware and vendors which supported it, which makes flashing custom firmware on to custom and a limited number of commercial keyboards easy. While there’s a core part of the lvl1kvm firmware I would likely never modify (signal processing for example), the ability to create and store custom mapping behaviors that respond to certain keypresses/chording would be awesome. For example:

  • CTRL-SHIFT-ARROW to move the current video down the output stack.
  • FFWD moves to next audio source
  • Disable USB3.0 switching because a usb drive is in use.
  • Show administrative screen or status

Could there be a similar need?
