Though the traditional cpu benchmarks are somewhat underwhelming, these HSA enabled benchmarks are really impressive and shows some of the potential of these APUs AMD is developing.

While the results seem a bit underwhelming, the cost difference puts things into perspective.
Yeah, if you are doing these sorts of tasks often its a very cost-effective processor, but I think for most use cases the 6800k is a better buy at current prices.
just got a a10-7850k for 137 after tax from microcenter. popped it in my girlfriends pc, so i won't get to play with it much, but seemed like a great deal, woulda thrown one in my htpc but the motherboard doesn't support it :(
